Invitation to free Architect Talk by James Stockwell:

Wilkinson Award Winning Leura House and Kalkite Mountain House

James Stockwell is a Director of James Stockwell Design

James Stockwell Architect is based in Surry Hills Sydney. Projects are predominantly residential in landscape settings and have included apartments. The practice is also currently documenting a purpose built preschool at Leura in the Blue Mountains.

Buildings are in progress in locations around New South Wales and in Western Australia.

Practice Philosophy: A ‘machine for living’ approach with a small pallet of natural materials to achieve contemporary autonomous buildings. Test new ways of achieving passive solar performance by prototyping systems and taking a closer look at climate and geology to generate unique solutions.

“Treating the architecture as a stimulating and beautiful background to the lives and activities of the client”.

Clinton Cole is a Director of CplusC Design Construct Pty Ltd

This company employs both architects and builders in-house. Their team structure consistently produces cost-efficient, high quality, award-winning projects. Their combination of services allows for complete control of their aesthetic, buildability and environmental values for each project.

The company uses off-site fabrication processes and hybrid steel/timber techniques. Clinton will share his experience in the design and construction of several award-winning CplusC projects and discuss how his company mitigates risks associated with the delivery, design and construction services.
